Back-to-back houses, Holbeck, LeedsBack-to-back terraced houses were once common in northern industrial towns, most were replaced by modern slums in the 60s. A friend lives in this surviving patch in Holbeck, Leeds. With no back gardens and little space indoors for drying, washing is strung across the street to dry. |
