Appendix B: The Daniels of Holywell
(See Chapter 3)
Robert Daniel, the son of Robert and Mary Daniel, was a grocer and a linen and wool draper. He was born in about 1774 and in 1793 he married Elizabeth, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Watson. He died in 1836, aged 62; and she died in 1847, aged 72.

Other Members of the Family
(a) In 1825, William Watson of Liverpool, who may have been the brother of Elizabeth, married Elizabeth Daniel, who was probably the sister of Robert Daniel senior.
(b) Jane and Elizabeth Daniel (twins) were born on 9 December 1841 and died shortly afterwards before being baptised. Their parents are not known.
